WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash shared the emotional and chaotic story of his journey to attend the memorial service for his close friend and nWo stablemate, the late Hulk Hogan. On his podcast, Nash gave a raw and unfiltered account of the difficult day, which included a four-hour drive through a storm, a quick change in a Five Guys bathroom, and an unfortunate incident with a police car that led to him urinating in his own vehicle.
The private “Celebration of Life” for Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea was held last week in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, and was attended by a who’s who of the wrestling world. Nash, who was one of Hogan’s closest friends, detailed the stress of the day and the moment the finality of his friend’s passing truly hit him.
An Unbelievable Journey
Speaking on the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, Nash told the long and wild story of his travels to and from the service. The trip was complicated by extreme traffic and severe weather, forcing him to improvise.
“I went to Terry’s service yesterday. So it’s in Indian Rocks, Florida… I’m not kidding you man, there was a… piece of road that was maybe two miles long, and it was 25 minutes because they had it down to one lane… I gotta change, and I gotta take a piss anyway. So I look over, I see a Five Guys. So I fucking pull up… I go in, I put the black suit on, I do everything… I’m going back into fucking the exact same storm that killed Clooney on the perfect storm… I’m driving along, I’m like, oh, fuck man, I got a change, and I gotta take a piss anyway… I undo my seatbelt as I’m getting ready to coast into the parking lot… I fucking spin around, open my door right in front of me is a fucking Daytona Beach Shores SUV police, and I’m like, oh, fuck… I’m in my fucking car. I grabbed the t-shirt that I had on earlier and cram it over my c–k, and the next thing you know, man, that thing feels like a water balloon in my hand. I mean, I just have complete fucking bladder emptiness right there. So now for the next mile and a half to my crib, I’m basically just fucking bathing in my piss.”
The Finality of the Moment
Amidst the chaotic travel stories, Nash also shared a poignant and somber reflection on the funeral itself. He described the moment he walked in and saw the program with his friend’s picture on it, and how that made the immense loss feel real.
“When I walked in and like, you know, there was a security and they had to go through a book and see if your name was and everything else, and then they handed you, I don’t know if it’s called the program, yeah, and there was that picture of Terry, and it was just like, I don’t know. Man, it was the same thing when I got the thing at Scott’s. It’s just like, it’s all of a sudden it becomes real.” He added, “Me and death don’t get along real well. I don’t do death very well… I made sure that it was closed, because I do not do the open casket… Paul spoke… Jimmy was there. The emperor was there… Caesar spoke, yeah, Vince spoke.”
Kevin Nash’s raw and honest storytelling provides a unique and humanizing look at a difficult day for the entire wrestling world. The full episode of Kliq This is available on all major podcast platforms.
