Kevin Nash thinks WWE should send Rhea Ripley abroad for treatment and foot the bill, having gone that route himself when surgeons told him his only option was an operation.
Nash was asked on Kliq This why creative blames wrestlers for not getting a push rather than accepting any of it themselves. He sided with Paul Heyman, who has recently made the point that nobody is simply handed a position.
“I listen to Paul’s comments on that, and like he said, nobody’s anointed, nobody’s just, if you get over to the point where they have to push you. But that doesn’t mean that when you get that spot, you can’t shoot the bed and then make creative look bad in giving you that spot. So there’s a lot of intangibles. If you’re coming off an injury, there’s a lot of intangibles.”
That took him to Ripley.
“Right now, Rhea, like I love Rhea to death, but she’s hurt a lot.”
Ripley has been out since June with a torn meniscus and confirmed on August 6, four days before this was recorded, that she had undergone surgery on her right knee. She has given no timetable.
Nash’s suggestion was that the company do more than wait.
“I would love for Rhea to go down to Bio Accelerator, down in Colombia, and I think that the WWE should pay for it, and I think that they should, wherever she’s got problems, if it’s discs in her back or whatever.”
He was speaking from his own experience. Nash says that when his left leg shut down, every surgeon he consulted, including one he describes as among the best back specialists in the country, told him to operate. He sent his scans to the facility in Colombia instead, had the treatment there, and credits it with the recovery.
He is not a doctor and offered no detail about what the treatment involved.
The question Nash was answering had also referenced Dominik Mysterio and Bron Breakker. He did not address either.
