Kevin Nash On The Rock’s WrestleMania Absence: ‘He Didn’t Have The Option. Scorsese Was Not Gonna Let Him’

On the latest episode of his “Kliq This” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash shared his experience attending the recent WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

Nash detailed reconnecting with close friends and colleagues, stating, “I sat with Sean Waltman and his wife. Eric was to Sean’s left. I got to see Eric and talk to Eric and Lori. Sean Waltman’s wife, Angie, I haven’t seen her since SummerSlam so the three of us went out and had sushi. I was sitting next to Jimmy Hart at the Hall of Fame. I got to see Paul. I got to see Sean Waltman. I got to see Shawn Michaels. I got to see Taker. I got to hang out with Steve Austin. So that’s kind of like the people that I stay in touch with on a weekly basis. Then, of course, I got to see Dallas. Those are kind of my boys. Then I had dinner with Steve Borden, Sting, and Robbie Steiner, who are guys that kind of broke me in and put me under their wing when I was a jabroni. Bron came and joined us for dinner.”

Later in the podcast, Nash addressed the noticeable absence of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson from WrestleMania 41, offering a blunt explanation rooted in Johnson’s commitments outside the wrestling world as he is filming a film directed by Martin Scorsese.

“Rock couldn’t show up because Rock was fu**ing filming a Scorsese film,” Nash revealed. He further elaborated on the potential risks involved with Johnson’s participation, recalling a previous incident, “The last time Rock fuing showed up right before Hercules, he tore his fuing bone off his pelvis, and he fuing cost production 10 million dollars. Rock can say whatever he wants, ‘I didn’t want to fk up Cena’s fu**ing moment.’ He didn’t have the option. Scorsese was not gonna let him.”
