WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently opened up about a difficult period of health struggles that both he and his wife, Tamara, have been enduring at the same time. On his Kliq This podcast, Nash provided a candid look at the physical toll and recovery process that has defined their recent lives.
Nash first detailed his wife’s complex and arduous journey with her hip. “She didn’t have a hip replacement, she had that f**king procedure done first to see if they could fix the top of the f**king femur, yeah, and it didn’t hold,” Nash explained. “So she was like non-weight-bearing for three f**king months, and then they did the surgery so her muscles had all atrophied… the f**king rehab is just, it’s, you know…”
He then revealed that while his wife was going through her ordeal, he was simultaneously dealing with his own significant injuries, creating an incredibly challenging time for the couple.
“It was one thing after another,” Nash said. “Then it was like, I got the herniated disc in my back, and then I tore my f**king shoulder.”
Nash also put his injuries into a larger context, reminding listeners that he has been dealing with physical ailments for the entirety of his wrestling career, which adds another layer to his current struggles. “I came in f**ked up,” he stated. “I mean, I was injured physically to the point where I couldn’t run before I got in the business. My my right knee was gone.”
Despite the recent string of difficult health issues for both himself and his wife, Nash has remained active with his weekly Kliq This podcast. He also continues to undergo treatments, including stem cell procedures, to repair the damage from his long and storied career in professional wrestling.
