On the “Kliq This” podcast, Kevin Nash gave his perspective on the current state of WWE, addressing topics from high-level management and weekly creative to his impressions of modern talent like Jade Cargill and Raquel Rodriguez.
Nash first addressed the criticism his friend, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, receives for the company’s business in Saudi Arabia. Nash stated that this criticism is misdirected and that Levesque’s role is creative, not corporate logistics. “You know, one thing that we didn’t talk about is Paul was getting heat for… them going to Saudi Arabia. And it’s like, let’s make sure that people understand that my friend’s job is he’s a… head of creative,” Nash said. “He’s not the business guy that picks the fucking venues. That’s not his job. It’s… above his pay grade.”
Nash then analyzed the recent “go-home” episode of Monday Night Raw. He critiqued the opening promo between CM Punk and Jey Uso, pointing out the inherent difficulty of booking two fan-favorites. “It’s so hard because you’ve… got an arena full of people, and they’re not going to be didn’t pay the money they paid to watch a package,” he said. “It’s just punk so fucking good. And Jay, just Jay’s kind of fucking street cred. Got a couple of things to say… it’s not going to be a Cody punk back and forth… the hardest thing on earth is you’ve got two baby faces. So there’s you’re not going to have physicality.”
He also questioned the booking of LA Knight, who cut a promo about challenging for a title before losing to Bron Breakker. “Had LA Knight, who came out and cut a promo saying he’s ready to take on whoever wins CM Punk versus ju USO. He’s ready for that… Then he went out and did a clean job to Braun break… To Braun breaker,” Nash stated. “What’s going on? Why are we right? …Yeah, but breaker, Bron gave him fucking 95% of the match.”
Nash also commented on the women’s division. He was asked about Raquel Rodriguez using the “Big Mommy Cool” moniker. “I mean, I think it’s… I’m a huge fan of hers. I think she… gets better by the week. I mean, she’s… a fucking big time player now,” Nash said.
He saved his highest praise for Jade Cargill, recounting his first in-person meeting with her at SummerSlam. “She’s needed to be a fucking heel for so long… she looks like she’s from a fucking Marvel comic,” he said. “We met at TSA. We… sat down and just talked for about 10 minutes… first time I met her in person. And I was just like, wow. Like, what a fucking just stunning… just everything, the way she’s prepared, clothing, the way she just handles herself… I was just like, wow. Like, that’s, that’s something special.”
