WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash believes that the next chapter for the recently reunited Usos should be a long and dominant reign as tag team champions. On his Kliq This podcast, the wrestling legend shared his booking philosophy for Jimmy and Jey Uso, arguing that a year-and-a-half run with the tag team titles would be the perfect way to “bolster that aspect of the card” and solidify the status of both the team and the division.
Nash’s suggestion comes after The Usos spent the better part of a year on separate brands as singles competitors, a run that saw Jey Uso in particular reach new heights of popularity. “Or do they go and get the tag belts? The brothers have, like, a fucking year and a half run with the belts to bolster that aspect of the card,” Nash proposed.
“Usos would be good for me, because they’ve kind of solidified that with you’ve raised both Usos as single stars now, then you put them back together. No, because you can always go back to it. Nothing says you can’t walk down the ring with two belts, right? Right? Shawn and I had the tags. He had the IC and I had the world all the same time, right?”
The Usos are widely regarded as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history, holding the record for the longest tag team championship reign of all time. The recent separation and eventual reunion of the brothers has been a key storyline in 2025, and their match at Wrestlepalooza was their first time teaming together on a premium live event in over a year.
Unfortunately for The Usos, their reunion match at Wrestlepalooza did not go as planned. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed defeated them in a match that saw Jey Uso get busted open and placed in concussion protocol.
