Kevin Owens comments on second straight loss to Roman Reigns

Kevin Owens continues to come up short in his pursuit to become the WWE Universal Champion again by dethroning Roman Reigns.

WWE originally booked these two stars in a TLC match at the TLC pay-per-view event last weekend, but Owens lost thanks to outside inference from Jey Uso to assist his cousin to get the win.

Then on Friday’s episode of SmackDown on FOX, they worked a Steel Cage match that also saw Reigns successfully retain the title. Both matches were held from St. Petersburg, Florida at Tropicana Field.

Owens took to Twitter to issue this short statement:

“I gave it my all at TLC, gave it my all in the cage and I will keep doing so until there’s nothing left. Fight hard enough for long enough and something good has to happen. Right now, I’m right where I belong and I couldn’t be happier. From my family to yours, Happy Holidays!”

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on whether WWE plans to book a third match between the two stars, but with Royal Rumble taking place a month from now, it’s likely WWE will go in a different direction.
