Over the weekend news broke that Kevin Owens had suffered an injury that has placed him on the sidelines.
The former Universal Champion is currently out of action with an ankle injury. He revealed the news while doing an interview where he noted that the injury happened when he faced Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 36 last month.
He also shared that he will be getting an x-ray done in the next few days that will determine how long he’ll be out of action for as well as the severity of the injury.
According to Owens, he thought it was a sprain or a slight fracture and the injury happened while taking the big bump through an announcers table.
In an update, Dave Meltzer noted in the Daily Update on F4Wonline.com that while it’s unknown the exact spot that he suffered the injury, Owens never felt any pain during the match or even that night. Instead, he noticed the following day that his ankle was swollen.
It also noted that Owens is expected to be out a few more weeks.
Thus, this is the reason that he’s been off and will continue to be absent from Monday Night Raw.
