Kevin Owens is hoping to do crazy spot at WrestleMania 37

Kevin Owens wasn’t able to accomplish a goal at WrestleMania 36 last year, but has another chance at it this year.

He wanted to jump off the pirate ship at WrestleMania 36 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show was moved to the Performance Center where he battled Seth Rollins.

The match featured a spot where Owens jumped off the WrestleMania sign and hit an elbow drop onto Rollins through the announce table.

In an interview with Ryan Satin, Owens mentioned that he is hoping to jump off of the pirate ship at WrestleMania 37. However, he’s not promising anything.

“No, I want to do it. I can’t promise people that I’m going to do it because, you know, circumstances and whatever. But, I can promise everybody that I’m gonna try as much as possible to do it. I’ll do my best. I’ll annoy anybody I can. I will get into anyone’s ear I possibly can. I will literally do everything in my power to get to the point where I can jump off that ship. But, even climbing up the ship, like, it’s already ready in my head. How I’m going to get up there, everything. I studied it. I did my research before I made that claim last year. So, I’m ready for it this year.”

The former Universal Champion first mentioned this idea in a post on Twitter last April:

Before getting to WrestleMania, he will take part in an Elimination Chamber Match to have the opportunity to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship that same night.

Owens will battle Jey Uso, King Corbin, Sami Zayn, Daniel Bryan, and Cesaro in the match next Sunday.
