Last week, we reported that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were unlikely to return anytime soon. The videos that aired on WWE Raw last month were meant to let fans know that some of their favorites were returning soon in the new year.
Zayn should be ready to return next month but there’s no word on when he will actually return to television. During an interview on Chris Jericho’s podcast, he noted how he is appreciating his time off and he is not itching to return to the ring. He also said that he was nowhere ready to return but that interview was conducted in November.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Kevin Owens is expected to be cleared fairly soon but he is not expected back right away.
Things can always change but the decision was made not to bring him back to TV until after WrestleMania. So that would rule out any storylines for him until April.
