Kevin Owens rarely has encouraging words for other people because he’s so busy being awesome. But while KO was watching NXT TakeOver: WarGames he saw something he just couldn’t keep to himself.
The Velveteen Dream and Aleister Black absolutely killed it on the show and really set the bar for everything to follow on the card. It was the match of the night for some people and although most are left talking about the WarGames match itself, many others are still remembering The Velveteen Dream and Aleister Black for stealing the show as well.
The Dream just wanted Black to say his name but the former Tommy End needed some proving on the matter before he would acknowledge the young man’s presence who many remember as Patrick Clark from Tough Enough. Velveteen Dream didn’t come out as the winner against Aleister Black but he gave him a run for his money and more than earned his respect in the process. In the end, Aleister Black said the name of The Velveteen Dream and it was an epic moment.
When Kevin Owens saw this epic display go down he couldn’t keep it to himself and really put The Velveteen Dream over. Let’s all just say his name now, and also comment on how epic and “Rick Rude-esk” Dream’s tights were. Those are one-of-a-kind and can only be worn once in theory because of the airbrushed faces on them. Unless Dream and Black lock up again which I would be totally down to watch happen.
I think plenty of people will be saying your name for years to come. @VelveteenWWE
