Kevin Owens pulls out of WWE Raw tapings due to COVID-19 postive test by developmental wrestler

Earlier today I exclusively reported that there was at least one wrestler who did not attend the Raw tapings that will air next Monday night.

It has been confirmed by us and by Fightful that the person who was not at the tapings was former Universal Champion Kevin Owens and he made the decision after hearing about the developmental wrestler who recently tested positive for COVID-19.

Owens recently returned to WWE TV after taking time off after injuring his ankle during his WrestleMania 36 match with Seth Rollins.

WWE has stated that wrestlers who do not feel comfortable performing are fine to go home and there would be no repercussions. It is not clear when Owens will be back on TV. This is a big loss for WWE as they have already lost Roman Reigns (COVID-19 concerns) and Becky Lynch (pregnancy). Bray Wyatt is expected back on TV this week after taking time off to be with his newborn baby.

WWE taped Raw earlier today and the SmackDown tapings that were planned have been moved to 6/26. They will air a live to tape show on that evening.
