Kevin Owens wants to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, comments on Goldberg

WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens recently took part in media conference call to promote his upcoming match with Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event that takes place next weekend in San Antonio, Texas. During the interview, he was asked about former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. He said that when you look at NXT, there is one guy who seems like he belongs in the main event of a WrestleMania and that’s Nakamura. He said that Nakamura receives a lot of buzz from the fans. He noted that Nakamura is able to grab attention from the fans who don’t really know who is right away because of his mannerisms and entrance but by the time he gets into the ring then he hooks the fans into liking him.

When asked about Goldberg, who will be competing in the Royal Rumble match, he noted that he was never a fan of WCW while he was growing up and that he was never a Goldberg fan at all, so he told Goldberg that. He said that when he was standing in the ring with Goldberg on RAW a few week’s back, he couldn’t stand it when Goldberg walked down to the ring as it felt like it was back in the 1990s or 2000s and that it was surreal.

When asked about possibly facing The Undertaker, Owens stated that if he had to narrow it down to one Superstar to face at WrestleMania, then it would be The Undertaker because he is synonymous with that event and that he has always been in awe of The Undertaker.

Owens also discussed the UK Championship tournament and more. You can read the full interview here.
