Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kevin Owens has been vocal about people staying safe and taking the right precautions. Unfortunately, his wife, Karina, noted in an Instagram story that she tested positive for the virus and her son Owen has been starting to have symptoms. She wrote the following:
“COVID HAS HIT OUR HOUSEHOLD. SO FAR ONLY I’VE TESTED POSITIVE, BUT OWEN’S STARTING SYMPTOMS AS WELL. PEOPLE PLEASE GET YOUR BOOSTER!! I PUT IT OFF AND MY SYMPTOMS ARE NOT FUN (FEVER. HORRIBLE BODY ACHES). I KNOW SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOTTEN THEIR BOOSTER AND WERE PRETTY MUCH ASYMPTOTIC WHEN THEY GOT COVID RECENTLY.”
We wish Karina and Owen a speedy recovery. Kevin just worked the Day 1 event and this week’s Raw.
Last summer, Owens went to Vince McMahon about his concerns regarding COVID-19, the risk of working WWE TV tapings during an outbreak of the virus, and lack of enforcement of a mask policy. Owens told the WWE Chairman that he was going home while the company dealt with the outbreak. McMahon enforced a mask policy and Owens came back to work a few weeks later when he felt it was safe.
