Killer Kross: Finn Balor ‘Is Really Underrated And I Hope Finn Becomes World Champion Again’

Former WWE star Killer Kross, previously known as Karrion Kross, offered high praise for current Judgment Day member Finn Balor, stating that the veteran star is one of the best and most underrated competitors in the world. Kross, who defeated Balor twice for the NXT Championship in 2021, believes that “The Prince” is a complete “freak of nature” who deserves to climb the ladder and become a WWE World Champion again.

Toughness That Rivals Heavyweights

Kross spoke highly of Balor’s intensity and toughness, noting that his striking ability surpasses that of much larger wrestlers. Kross and Balor share history, including a singles match in 2021 where Kross defeated Balor to reclaim the NXT Championship he was forced to vacate due to injury.

“He’s really, really tough. I don’t know what his current weight is; obviously, he’s on the lighter side, but Finn hits harder than most heavyweights, and he’s tougher than most heavyweights. Guy is a complete freak of nature, and he’s one of my favorite opponents I’ve ever had in my entire career. He’s really, really good.”

The praise is notable given Balor’s standing in the company. Despite his talent and role as a foundation of The Judgment Day, Balor has been away from a World title for nearly a decade. His only previous run occurred at SummerSlam 2016, where he defeated Seth Rollins to become the first-ever Universal Champion, but he had to relinquish the title almost immediately following a shoulder injury.

The Call for a World Title Run

Kross shared his hope that Balor would get the opportunity to have a significant World title run in WWE, feeling that his talent has been greatly undervalued on the main roster.

“He’s really underrated and I hope Finn becomes world champion again because he deserves it.”
