WWE Champion Kofi Kingston recently spoke with The Wrap about a wide range of topics. During the interview, he spoke about the former WWE star who helped him with ideas for his unique Royal Rumble spots.
Kingston has earned a reputation for being one of the best minds when it comes to having interesting spots in the fan favorite Royal Rumble match as he has competed in several of them. Each year, he comes up with new ideas to impress the fans with his athleticism.
This is where he noted that when Hornswoggle would help him brainstorm ideas for these spots after seeing former WWE star and now-Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion John Morrison doing them in the past.
“I always have the mentality of like, if the idea comes, it comes, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t,” Kingston said. “Luckily, for the past 12 years or 11 years or so, the idea just kinda comes. Hornswoggle usually is the guy who I go back and forth and brainstorm with. [He’s] my brainstorming buddy, we used to room together and travel together on the road when he was here. Being the guy who has the ‘Rumble spots,’ per se … a lot of people will be thinking for me.”
