Kofi Kingston wasn’t thrilled with FOX bringing up his WWE Title loss to Brock Lesnar
The WWE on FOX Twitter account sent out what many people thought was a random tweet on Monday night.
There were various fans asking what the point of the tweet was as it featured a photo of Brock Lesnar beating Kofi Kingston for the WWE Title on the October 4, 2019 episode of SmackDown on FOX. The account also tagged Kofi Kingston and Paul Heyman.
Well, fans weren’t the only ones confused by this tweet as Kingston responded to it by writing, “Why y’all keep bringing up old $&%+?”
If you recall, Kingston went on a wild journey in the first quarter of 2019 and became a main event star that was capped off with winning the WWE Title from Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35.
With this episode of the blue branded show being the season premiere on FOX, WWE loaded up the show with just not this title match, but also an appearance by Vince McMahon and a Ladder Match between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon.
One year later, WWE decided to split up The New Day as Xavier Woods and Kingston are now on Raw while Big E continues his singles run on SmackDown.
