Fans hoping for a full-time run from Kota Ibushi in WWE will be disappointed. Ibushi has said repeatedly in interviews that he does not plan on signing a full-time deal. WWE is very interested in him and there was hope that they could convince him to sign but he has doubled down on his comments.

Ibushi told Tokyo Sports that there is no chance of him signing a full-time deal. He said, "Zero chance. Absolutely not. But these one-shot deals are an absolute plus for all concerned." He says that he hopes that these one-time shots can open doors for other Japanese talents and WWE.

Ibushi was considered to be the favorite to win the Cruiserweight Classic but that changed when he made it known to WWE that he would not be signing a deal with them. Ibushi is scheduled to be a part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and he will be teaming with Hideo Itami. I'm sure WWE would love to have him as part of the Cruiserweight division if he ever has a change of heart.
