Kurt Angle Believes WWE Will Eventually Buy The TNA Wrestling Library

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has shared his excitement about the current partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling, stating his belief that the crossover will eventually lead to WWE purchasing the TNA video library.

Kurt Angle On The WWE And TNA Partnership

Appearing on Ken Anderson’s Mic Check podcast, the Olympic Gold Medalist discussed the two companies working together. “I never thought in a million years WWE would ever partner up with TNA,” Angle said.

He then explained why he is such a big fan of the partnership: he believes it will make his body of work from TNA accessible to the WWE audience. “The reason why I love it is because I know eventually the WWE is going to buy the TNA library and the WWE will now own all the Kurt Angle footage at TNA and the WWE fans are going to be able to have access to it,” he stated.

A Potential WWE Purchase Of The TNA Library

Angle, who spent ten years in TNA from 2006 to 2016, believes that he had a “much better career” in TNA than he did in WWE. He is a six-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2013.

“I know it’s going to happen eventually. I just never thought it would in a million years. But now that they have partnered and they’re both invested in each other, I think eventually they’re going to buy the library.”

Recent reports have revealed that WWE’s working agreement with TNA includes an option to purchase the company and the right of first refusal on any other offers. The full interview with Kurt Angle can be heard on the “Mic Check with Mr. Anderson” podcast.
