Kurt Angle comments on possible collaboration between AEW and WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle took part in a Q&A session on his Facebook page where he talked about a wide range of topics.

During the Q&A, he was asked about a possible collaboration between AEW and WWE. Obviously, the chances of these two promotions working together aren’t likely. While AEW has working relationships with several promotions such as AAA, Impact Wrestling, and NJPW, the likelihood of WWE wanting to work with them is the challenge in the way of this happening.

Clearly, WWE doesn’t want AEW to succeed as they’ve tried to sign as much talent as possible, keep their own talent under contract by offering them big money long term deals, and moving NXT to the USA Network to go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite.

“WWE is its own entity, an enormous company. They won’t ever collaborate with another promotion. They don’t have to. But, I don’t think it would hurt them to do it.”

Angle was also asked about the future of the current competition between them.

“I think it’s very promising. Competition is always good. It’s going to be interesting between WWE and AEW.”
