2017 WWE Hall of Fame inductee Kurt Angle recently spoke with Brian Fritz of Sporting News about his career and more. During the interview, he was asked about if he has had talks with WWE about wrestling again. Angle noted that they haven’t talked about, but he is sure that in the back of their minds they’re thinking about it and releasing him on some of the talents in the future. He noted that it’s not guaranteed and made clear that they haven’t talked about it at all. “Seeing people like Sting and Goldberg come back to do some programs, it's promising that Kurt Angle will get a shot."
When asked about his meeting with Vince McMahon recently, which will air on an upcoming episode of WWE 24 on the WWE Network, he noted that they met and the first thing McMahon did was to embrace him. He noted that McMahon hugged him like he was a son and that it got emotional because they didn’t leave on the best of terms. He noted that there were some angry remarks, especially from his side and McMahon was frustrated with him. “To be able to come back and Vince says just let it go, let everything in the past go. We're here now, there's nothing you need to worry about that occurred in the past. Just worry about right now and the future. We have some wonderful plans for you in the future."
