Kurt Angle explains why he expects to wrestle in WWE again, comments on his WWE Hall of Fame induction

Kurt Angle recently appeared on Ring Rust Radio to talk about his WWE Hall of Fame induction and more. During the interview, he was asked about wanting Steve Austin, John Cena or The Undertaker to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. He noted that he wanted someone that had a huge impact on pro wrestling and no one had a bigger impact than those guys listed above. He said that he was more of a teacher to Cena when he started in WWE and noted that he wrestled Cena in his first WWE match. He praised Cena and noted that he is very marketable, great personality and he’s a great athlete. He said that Taker and Austin are the biggest names in wrestling and taught him a lot about the trade and in-ring psychology. He noted that he would like to have Triple H induct him as well but doesn’t think that Triple H can because he is the talent relation director. He brought up that he thinks WWE is the one who sets up who will induct him and wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t one of the guys he listed.

When asked about his desire to wrestle again for WWE and his belief that WWE will ask him to wrestle again. He noted that the thing that gives him a lot of hope of wrestling again is due to Goldberg returning to the company and wrestling again. He noted that he doesn’t think Goldberg’s WWE career ended the way he wanted to and that it’s nice to see someone like Goldberg who hasn’t been with the company in 14 years able to go in there and get a great spot. He said that he wouldn’t doubt once that he gets passed the Hall of Fame then he’ll get physical. He said that when you have big names like that you have to use them the right way. He noted that you have a name like Goldberg, or Brock Lesnar comes back, or the Undertaker comes back when he’s been gone for 10 months, or himself that hasn’t been there in 12 years, you’re going to want to put them in a pretty high profile spot. He said that he expects that he’ll wrestle, so he is looking forward to it and noted that he is in great shape as he has been wrestling on the indies with talents such as Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, and Cody Rhodes. He added that he keeps his body in shape in case WWE does call him, he’s ready to go.

Angle talked about his Angle Strong app and more. You can listen to the interview here:
