Kurt Angle has pulled out of this weekend’s Inside The Ropes live shows in London and Glasgow, citing a health issue. Both dates have been rescheduled for February.
Inside The Ropes announced the change Thursday on X, posting a video from Angle. “Due to an unfortunate health issue, Kurt Angle is unable to travel for his live Inside The Ropes shows,” the promoter wrote. “Kurt is adamant about doing the shows so we have rescheduled at the same venues for Feb 1st (London) and Feb 2nd (Glasgow).”
Angle’s message:
“Hey, this is your Olympic hero Kurt Angle, and due to health reasons, I will not be able to attend the Inside the Ropes shows in the UK this weekend. I want to apologize to all the fans in Glasgow and London, and I just want to say that the shows will be rescheduled in early February next year. So if you had a valid ticket for this year’s show, you will have a valid ticket for next year’s show. I will see you there. Oh, it’s true. It’s damn true.”
Tickets for the original dates will be honored at the rescheduled shows, per Angle. Inside The Ropes has not said whether refunds are available for fans who can’t make the February dates.
Angle, 57, has had a series of health problems in recent years. He underwent double knee replacement surgery in 2019 and has spoken publicly about neck and back issues stemming from his wrestling career. He retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 and has since worked conventions, live speaking tours and podcast appearances, including a regular schedule of Inside The Ropes shows in the UK.
Inside The Ropes runs live question-and-answer shows with wrestling personalities across the UK and Ireland. Angle has been a repeat headliner for the company.
