It looks like the recent hints sent out by Kurt Angle on social media are going to lead to another match. As written about last week on WrestlingNews.co, Angle has been expressing interesting again in wrestling and he has been telling people that he is healthy.
Last week during a Facebook Q&A, Angle said the following when a fan asked him if he enjoys his role as the Monday Night Raw General Manager: “Yes. It has its challenges. But, I enjoy wrestling more. Hopefully I will get a chance soon. You never know.”
It looks like he has been given the green light for another match. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson said the following about Angle: “Unless something has changed in the last 48 hours or so, Kurt Angle had been training for another return match so it could be that this is the beginning of that storyline to bring him back to the wrestling ring.”
We’ll see what Angle means when he says he is healthy. Angle hasn’t been the same in the ring for a couple of years but the issues are not related to his neck. His left knee has been bothering him and that is why he’s been so limited in the ring. Angle will be 50 years old in December and given his history of neck issues, it is unlikely that we’ll see him back in the ring full-time. In all likelihood, he will be protected in a multi-man match. The Survivor Series pay-per-view where he could be part of a 4 vs. 4 match would be a good place for his next match.
It should be noted that Stephanie McMahon said that his General Manager job is safe so it looks like he will be back in that role at some point.
