WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle took part in a Q&A session on his Facebook page where he talked about a wide range of topics.
During the Q&A, he was asked about who in NXT he sees as having the highest potential right now.
Angle responded with, “It’s hard to say. I always liked Velveteen Dream. But…there are so many great talents in NXT right now.”
The legendary pro wrestler has been a big fan of Dream for a few years now as the rising star has made his journey through the yellow and black brand.
Dream had been booked in a main event program with NXT Champion Adam Cole. Their first match took place a few months ago on an episode of NXT while their second match just took place last Sunday at the NXT TakeOver: In Your House special.
Cole successfully retained the strap over Dream in a Backlot Brawl. The stipulation for the match stated that Dream can no longer challenge for the NXT Title as long as Cole is the champion.
With that feud over, Cole has entered into a program with Karrion Kross.
While there had been rumors of Dream leaving NXT for the main roster, it was recently reported that’s not the case. For more on that, click here.
