During the Q&A, he was asked about what he told John Cena on the day of his SmackDown debut.
If you recall, Cena answered an open challenge issued by the WWE Hall of Famer on an episode of SmackDown in 2002. This was before Cena came up with his rapper gimmick, which transformed him into the top star that he became in 2005 that was capped off with him dethroning JBL as the WWE champion at WrestleMania 21.
Angle has been high on Cena for years, which doesn’t come as a surprise to see him call Cena the GOAT of WWE.
“John was so great to work with. Kind, professional, and talented as hell. I didn’t carry him in that match. He carried himself. He’s the greatest WWE superstar of all time.”
The former WWE Champion has stated on numerous occasions that he wanted Cena to be his final opponent of his legendary career at WrestleMania 35, but Vince McMahon had a different idea.
