Kurt Angle opens up on his role in WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently did an interview with the Chicago Tribune where he discussed his role with WWE.

After returning to the company, he was booked as the Raw General Manager before being moved into a semi-active in-ring performer.

Angle lost to Baron Corbin in his farewell match at the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium on the WWE Network.

He works as a backstage producer primarily for the Raw brand. This is where he talked about how he works with younger talent with their matches and gives them feedback.

“I help structure matches that the talents have. It’s just giving my feedback and evaluating what the wrestlers do.”

“The most important thing is once you learn the basics, limit your bumping. We only have so many bumps in our career. If you do it excessively at the beginning of your career, you’re going to cut your career short. If you save your body, it will help you enormously.”
