WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle offered some high praise to Chad Gable after he made it to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Norfolk, Virginia at the Norfolk Scope Arena on the USA Network, Gable beat Andrade to advance in the tournament.

Now, Gable will meet Elias in the semi-finals of the tournament. The winner of this contest will meet the winner of Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin vs. Ricochet in the finals of the tournament.

Angle took to his official Twitter account where he wrote the following:

“To me, @WWEGable was never an underdog. I knew early on how great he is, and was. He’s now getting the opportunity to prove how f’ing great he truly is. They say he’s the next Kurt Angle. He is not!!!! He’s Chad Gable, and he’s gonna win King of the Ring!!!! #itstrue #KOTR2019”

The tournament finals will take place at the upcoming Clash of Champions pay-per-view event.
