Kurt Angle recreates John Cena’s WWE main roster debut promo with his daughter

John Cena recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his WWE main roster in-ring debut in 2002 on an episode of SmackDown against Kurt Angle where Cena answered Angle’s open challenge.

Cena introduced himself before slapping Angle, leading to a match. The former WWE Champion appeared on Monday’s Raw where he cut a promo thanking the fans for their support and noting that he’s not sure when he will wrestle again.

Angle shared an adorable Instagram video featuring his daughter, Sophia, where they recreated the moment. Angle wrote the following in the caption of the post that you can watch here.

“First! let me explain about my kids, While other daughters want their daddy to play barbie dolls with them, mine asks to recreate their favorite daddy promo with me. Second! My daughter has a mean slap. So you can see why this one is her favorite. Third! They have been waiting for this one for a while, and of course, I had to recreate the Ruthless Aggression Promo in daddy- Sophia style. Forth! My neighbors probably think we are crazy.”

Angle has previously expressed his hope that he would’ve had one more match with Cena and wanted Cena to be his retirement opponent at WrestleMania 35. That didn’t happen as Angle lost to Baron Corbin.
