Fans can expect to see Kurt Angle back on WWE television in the near future as the WWE Hall Of Famer stated on his Kurt Angle Show podcast with Conrad Thompson that the company contacted him about playing a role on television “for the next month or so.”
He added that he’s excited to see what they have planned for him. He didn’t provide any further details on what this role will be or which brand he’ll be featured on.
As previously reported, Angle was backstage at the Royal Rumble this past Saturday night to film content for WWE Network/Peacock. WWE did not acknowledge publicly that Angle was at the show.
Angle returned to WWE a few years where he wrestled on a part-time basis in addition to his run as the Raw General Manager. In 2019, he decided to retire from being an active wrestler with his last match taking place at WrestleMania 35 when he lost to Baron Corbin. He had been working as a backstage producer for WWE, but was let go by WWE in 2020 due to budget cuts.
Since that time, Angle has focused his time on his podcast and chicken protein company, CHXN-SNX.
