Kurt Angle to star in a romantic comedy film

Kurt Angle is working on his latest project in the acting world.

Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Angle is shooting a romantic comedy movie called “Ask Me to Dance.”

Brana Evigan of Step Up, Mario Cantone of Sex an the City and Joyce DeWitt of Three’s Company fame also star in the movie, which is shooting in Rochester, NY and finaced by Bitcoin mogul Charlie Shrem.

The synopsis of the film reads like, “Jack is an I/T programmer, a great guy, unlucky in love. Jill is a graphic designer, a great gal, and just as unlucky. They have no idea they are destined to be together. On a starry night, Jack and Jill separately meet a gypsy lady who tells them they will meet the love of their life before midnight at the end of the year, which happens to be only five days away. The countdown begins, and both Jack and Jill go on a series of horrible and hilarious dates, each worse than the next. Each time, they barely miss meeting each other. New Years Eve is getting closer. Will the gypsy’s prophecy come true? Will they meet and fall in love?”

On a related note, Angle recently teased a new project with former Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey by posting this on social media:

Rousey made her pro wrestling in-ring debut by teaming with Angle to beat Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in a tag team match at WrestleMania 34.
