Kurt Angle has put his body through a lot of punishment over the course of his life as he won an Olympic Gold Medal with a broken neck and then had a remarkable career in the pro wrestling business.
That damage will add up over time and now he needs to get surgery on his knees. During the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he will get double knee replacement surgery next month. He said that he wants to get it over with and he will be in a wheelchair or on a walker while he rehabs.
In January, WWE brought in Angle for the Royal Rumble where he was supposed to film content and there had been plans for him to return to TV, but the plans ended up getting nixed.
Angle was originally figured into the RK-Bro vs. Alpha Academy plans as there were various pitches made such as the academic challenge being the “Three Is Challenge,” playing off of Angle’s wrestling days and talk of Angle serving as a special guest referee in Saudi Arabia at the Elimination Chamber event.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
