Kyle O’Reilly issues statement on fan concern over stretcher angle after WWE NXT

Kyle O’Reilly has broken his silence regarding the concern among fans following an angle that was done on Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT.

He worked the six-man tag team main event that ended with him being taken out by Adam Cole as he was kicked in the head and then received a brainbuster onto the steel steps. A fan in attendance of the show stated that he had not only been checked on by medical staff as the show went off the air, but had a seizure and was taken out of the building on a stretcher.

The great news is O’Reilly is fine and he did not really suffer a seizure. WWE had him sell the attack by Cole and they did the angle to have him taken from ringside to the backstage area on a stretcher to make it more impactful to further build this feud.

O’Reilly publicly addressed the matter by writing the following on Twitter:

“Thanks everyone for checking in, your love and support truly means the World. I was placed on a stretcher last night out of concern for my neck after receiving a brainbuster on the steps. Thankfully I can move around somewhat OK today but I may need some time to heal. As much as that hurt and sucked last night, the betrayal was worse. Coming back from this stronger and with a thirst for revenge. Best served cold.”
