LA Knight on Fans Getting Behind Him: ‘I Wasn’t Pushed Down Anybody’s Throat. It Wasn’t Meant to Be but Here We Are’

In an exclusive for WrestlingNews.co, Steve Fall caught up with LA Knight in London ahead of tomorrow’s WWE Money In The Bank PLE. Knight has been getting big crowd reactions at live events over the last few months and many feel that he is the favorite to win the ladder match.

Knight on if he was upset that he wasn’t on the WrestleMania card:

“Look, I think a lot more people in LA. Everybody who traveled there everybody who went to see WrestleMania I think a lot of people missed out. I think a lot of people were upset about that. Sure.”

On momentum picking up for him in recent months:

“Picking up, it’s picked up I’d say and it is continuing to pick up because everywhere I go man all around the world it’s the same song, let’s say. But yeah, it’s been a crazy groundswell in the wild thing is, I wasn’t pushed down anybody’s throat. It wasn’t meant to be but here we are.”

On people comparing him to names like The Rock and Mr. Kennedy:

“You can compare me to anybody you want but there’s only one.”

On the massive reaction he got during a dark match in Puerto Rico (scroll down to see that clip):

“You know what’s crazy is the place was only half full at that point in time, too. And I don’t know if it was the acoustics but no, no, we know what it was. It was a lot of people feel that feve for one guy. And yeah, that was another time when I walked out and it was like, oh, man, that reaction is smashing right in the face. Nothing you can do about it.”
