Lance Anoa’i Doesn’t Have Nice Things To Say About Drew McIntyre

In an exclusive for WrestlingNews.co, Steve Fall interviewed Lance Anoa’i. Lance talked about Tama Tonga signing with WWE, what he’s currently doing in wrestling, Nia Jax, his beef with Drew McIntyre and more. The full interview is below.

Anoa’i recently wrote on Twitter in response to seeing Drew McIntyre causing trouble with Bloodline members: “@DMcIntyreWWE keeps messing with the wrong Family! #wwe #raw #revenge #2019”

Anoa’i elaborated on why he sent that tweet. He said, “I’m just letting him know, man, he’s messing with the wrong family. You know? He went after me. He went after Jey. He went after Roman. Man, you better watch who you mess with man. Because you know, we got a big family. You just don’t know who’s next.”

Anoa’i recalls being “roughed up” by McIntyre in 2019. He said, “Yeah, man I got a little roughed up man but you know he got me from behind and took a pretty good one against the steel stairs and then you know against the corner post, but I like to see him face to face man.”

“It was hard to breathe when I hit the corner of the steel stairs. That was pretty much it and then just trying to fight through but you know, nothing’s gonna stop me man. My debut on Raw, especially against Shane McMahon. So, just had to fight through everything like we always do, man we’re just a bunch of savages trying to make it.”

On Tama Tonga (Haku’s son) signing with WWE:

Every time I see Haku, he’s my uncle. A lot of respect for him. I believe it’s just more like the island culture. You know, we’re all from the South Pacific. So the islanders just stick together man like it’s just one breed. But yeah, I seen Tanga Tanga growing up. I hung out with them while I was out in Japan. Whenever our schedules blessed us to meet up and have dinner. So there’s always love there. And man, I don’t know if it’s true or not. I’ve been reading on the internet that Tama Tonga has signed. Man and if he did, good for him, because I think it’s well deserved and about time.

Lance on why he would want to see Tama Tonga on Raw:

“Jey is kinda all alone. We do consider Tama as family. So I think Jey can use some help [on Raw]. Especially when you know Solo and Jimmy keep creeping over the wall and attacking Jey and then setting up hopefully for I believe a Wrestlemania match. That’s what we’re hoping for.”
