Lance Anoa’i Update

UPDATE: A source reached out to state that there hasn’t been criticism at Lance from higher ups. It doesn’t rule out what Meltzer reported but it’s worth stating that people in the company who would know have denied what was reported about Lance Anoa’i.

ORIGINAL: While WWE has struck gold with several Bloodline members, including Jacob Fatu, The Tongas, and Solo Sikoa, in recent years, there is some doubt about one recent signee.

Lance Anoa’i signed with WWE in 2024 after making a name for himself in Pro Wrestling NOAH and MLW. He has yet to make his debut due to an injury. He is slated to be part of the WWE Evolve roster.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted there has been criticism of Lance from those in WWE.

Meltzer said, “Lance Anoa’i is there. There has been criticism of Lance Anoa’i that he may not make it. I have heard nothing negative about Hikuleo. You would think that him being there for all this time and not being used is like they must be disappointed but I have not heard that at all.”
