One of the things that stood out last night when the news broke about King Kong Bundy’s passing is that he was not inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
Bundy was a WrestleMania headliner and was a monster heel that looked credible against Hulk Hogan. He was also one of the first WWF wrestlers to break away to do some acting work on his own. There are several names that should have been inducted years ago and King Kong Bundy is on that list.
Lanny Poffo took to Twitter today to express his opinion on Bundy in the WWE HOF: “How is King Kong Bundy not in the Hall of Fame? And while we’re on the subject, where in the hell is Rick Martel? These men are overqualified.”

For what it’s worth, Bundy was on the list of names on the class action lawsuit filed against WWE in 2016 that alleged “long term neurological injuries” and that the company “routinely failed to care” for them and “fraudulently misrepresented and concealed” the extent of those injuries. Bundy was also vocal about things that went on in the company when he was under contract. However, that didn’t stop WWE from bringing back names like Goldberg and Bret Hart so hopefully, Bundy will get a spot in the Hall Of Fame soon.
