There is more sad news this week in the world of wrestling. Larry “The Axe” Hennig has passed away at 82 years old. He is the father of “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig and grandfather of current WWE Superstar Curtis Axel.
Hennig started in the wrestling business with the AWA in the early 1960s where he eventually became a 4-time AWA World Tag Team Champion. He retired in the mid-1980s shortly after a brief stint with his son as his tag team partner.
We send condolences to the entire Hennig family.
