Lars Sullivan dealing with injury that forced WWE SmackDown match to be nixed

A planned match to take place on WWE SmackDown Live was nixed due to Lars Sullivan dealing an injury.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Sullivan was originally scheduled to face Matt Hardy on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Sacramento, CA at the Golden 1 Center. The match was nixed as Sullivan is dealing with a minor injury.

It was later noted in the Daily Update that Sullivan is suffering from a knee injury. It was added that it’s much worse than originally believed and he is slated to undergo an MRI next week at TV. There is no word yet on when Lars will be back in action.

He was last seen in action when he beat The Lucha House Party on Monday’s episode of Raw in a rematch from their 3-on-1 Handicap Match at WWE Super ShowDown.
