In the first match of the night on the season premiere of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Jeff Hardy took on Lars Sullivan. Hardy and Sullivan got physical in the opening segment of the show after a huge brawl with most of the SmackDown roster members that ended when Sullivan stormed the ring.
Sullivan is getting booked as an unstoppable monster because he no-sold a lot of Hardy’s offense, including the Twist of Fate. Sullivan easily won the match by getting the clean pin on Hardy. This was not unexpected since this is Hardy’s last match on the blue brand.
It looks like WWE is continuing the monster push he was supposed to get last year before he was sidelined with injuries.
