Lars Sullivan reportedly apologized to WWE for his bigoted comments

UPDATE: Dylan Miley (Lars Sullivan) issued the following statement to us:

“There is no excuse for the inappropriate remarks that I made years ago. They do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today, and I apologize to anyone I offended.”

The Lars Sullivan comments were discussed on Wednesday’s Wrestling Observer Live when a caller asked Bryan Alvarez for his thoughts on the situation.

Alvarez noted that WWE has known about the comments before he was signed. He also noted that Sullivan apologized to the company.

“It is zero mystery in WWE that he did this,” Alvarez said. “They knew this when they hired him. They have known this forever. They are not going to fire him. How is Lars going to react to this? I don’t know.”

Alvarez noted that Sullivan vanished in January when he was originally supposed to debut on the main roster. This was around the time when his comments went viral for the first time. The story was that he suffered an anxiety attack. It’s unknown if the anxiety attack was a reaction to his comments going in viral a few months ago. The comments went viral again today on Reddit and this time Big E became the first WWE star to publicly say something.

Alvarez continued, “I don’t know how he is going to respond to Big E and apparently other people in the locker room being unhappy with what he posted on the internet.”

He added, “In WWE’s minds, he did this and he apologized for it. He told them that he was wrong and that he was remorseful and in their minds, it is a done deal.”
