Latest on Lars Sullivan’s WWE status

An update on Lars Sullivan’s WWE status has surfaced online but it’s not a clear one.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Sullivan should be ready to make a return but noted that his future is uncertain.

He’s been out of the ring after he was dealing with a knee injury. Sullivan underwent knee surgery in June. At the time of the injury, the belief was that he could be out for 6-9 months, which would mean that he could be back in December or around WrestleMania 36 season.

Clearly, he hasn’t returned and we’re already in the WrestleMania season with the event taking place in a little over a month.

Meltzer noted that Sullivan should be ready fairly soon. “His name hasn’t been mentioned at all of late.”

Prior to the injury, he was slated to get a monster push. It was noted that Sullivan is still under contract and there was no company reaction to the story of him starring in an adult film when he was younger and before he signed with WWE.

With there being no reaction by the company about this story, there’s no hint at how that affects his future or if Vince McMahon would bring him back and how far he’d go with him.
