It was announced on Tuesday that Adnan Virk is no longer working for WWE in what the company called a “mutual” departure.
The short statement sent out by WWE stated, “WWE and Adnan Virk have mutually agreed to part ways. WWE thanks Adnan for his work.”
Fightful Select reported today that the company was hoping to keep it amicable as both sides “were very aware that the situation wasn’t working out, and it appeared they knew it early on.”
Regarding the parting being mutual, it was stated WWE was going to make the move regardless and had their mind made up even before the May 24th Monday Night Raw TV event, which ended up being Virk’s last TV appearance for the company.
It was added that there was a replacement in order as of Tuesday, but it still remains unknown who will replace Virk as the lead announcer on Raw.
Virk will remain busy by working on the MBL studio show “ChangeUp” and for DAZN subscription streaming service.
