Monday’s WWE Raw TV event Tampa, Florida at Yuengling Center was an interesting show as it served as the go-home edition of the red brand for Sunday’s WrestleMania Backlash PPV, but also because WWE NXT Superstar The Velveteen Dream was backstage at the show.
When it was reported ahead of the broadcast of his attendance, fans wondered whether he would appear on the show. That didn’t happen.
Pwinsider.com reported WWE didn’t have any creative plans for him on the show. As it stands right now, there is no word yet on why he was brought in.
It was added Dream has not been seen much at the WWE Performance Center in recent months.
Dream hasn’t appeared on television since his match against Adam Cole on the December 23rd edition of NXT. This was after his absence for about a month and since September, he has only worked five matches. Before that, he had been involved in a program with Kushida and Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Title.
Dream was involved in a car accident but also accused of sending inappropriate photos and texts to young kids last year. There’s been nothing reported about when he could return to television in months.
