Following the news of Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, and Adam Pearce recently testing positive for COVID-19, there’s been questions about when the tests were done.
As noted, Young didn’t find out that she had the virus when she did the test at the WWE TV tapings last week. Instead, she did so in Las Vegas, Nevada this past Monday after feeling sick.
Although WWE did do testing last Tuesday (June 16), they did a round of tests this past Monday as well. The latest round was when Braxton and Pearce tested positive for the virus, according to Pwinsider.com.
WWE requested staff and personalities to take the tests and plan to do so at every TV taping going forward. To be clear, the infections are NOT in relation to the tests done last Tuesday, which was done after WWE found out that a developmental trainee recently tested positive.
The belief is that there are more infections from within WWE this week. It could be as many as in the “two dozen range,” but that has not been confirmed. As noted, this includes talent, production workers, and other employees.
Ahead of TV tapings on Friday and Saturday, WWE is doing another round of testing today. Once WWE gets the test results, they will adjust their taping plans accordingly.
As usual, those who have reported a positive COVID-19 test are being ordered to remain at home and will not be at the TV tapings this weekend.
