The WrestleMania 36 event took place as a two-night event due to the show being moved from Tampa, Florida in a stadium to Orlando at the Performance Center in front of no fans.
This year’s WrestleMania was supposed to take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, but due to the company not being allowed to have fans in attendance, it was moved to Tampa, Florida. Also, WrestleMania 37 was originally intended to be a one-night show, but it turned out to be held over the course of two nights.
Thus, that made it two straight years where WrestleMania wasn’t a one-night event. WWE confirmed earlier this year that WrestleMania 38 will take place on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas while WrestleMania 39 goes down on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at SoFi Stadium in California.
Having WrestleMania held over the course of two nights have fans split as some like it and some don’t. WrestleVotes noted today the current plans call for WrestleMania 38 to be held on one night.
“Now that the weekend is behind us, nearly everyone I’ve spoke to regarding WrestleMania had positive things to say. Aside from the weather, everything went smooth. The 2 day event was viewed as a success, but plans still remain for 1 single night next year in Dallas.”
Just like with anything in WWE, plans can change at any time.
