Latest on WWE TV taping schedule

COVID-19 testing that was done this week caused some changes to WWE’s TV taping schedule. However, the latest news on WWE’s plans will see the company to tape new episodes of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT this week with three days of taping.

Post Wrestling first reported the new schedule and later confirmed by Dave Meltzer. Here’s what the new schedule looks like:

– Wednesday, July 1st: Two weeks of The Great American Bash episodes will be filmed. Wednesday’s will air that night with the other episode airing the following Wednesday on July 8th.

– Thursday, July 2nd: The July 3rd and July 10th SmackDowns will be filmed as well as 205 Live.

– Friday, July 3rd: The July 6th and July 10th episodes of Raw will be filmed as well as WWE Main Event and Raw Talk.

As noted, WWE taped this Monday’s episode of Raw on Saturday. WWE had plans to tape two additional NXT episodes on Thursday, but it was nixed.

The delays and ultimately changes regarding WWE’s schedule is due to several positive COVID-19 tests that already required some postponements. The likes of Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, Adam Pearce, and Jamie Noble have publicly confirmed that they tested positive for the virus.
