Latest on WWE’s mandate for talent ahead of return to live events with fans

WWE is preparing to go back on the road with live event touring starting on July 16th for a Friday Night SmackDown event in Houston, Texas.

It was reported earlier this month that main roster talent was informed by the company that a new edict had been issued regarding them expected to come to the WWE Performance Center over the next few weeks to take part in workouts in the ring to better prepare them for the return of touring.

This happened on Tuesday, according to Fightful Select. The report stated many performers that have been off television for quite a while made the trip to the Performance Center. Some talent that had asked for time off also wasn't exempt.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks was among the names who haven’t been featured on TV in a while at the training center.

Banks last worked a match at WrestleMania 37 when she dropped the SmackDown Women’s Title to Bianca Belair, who has since gone on and feuded with Bayley.

As noted, Vince McMahon is expected to be at the Performance Center on Thursday to scout talent as the belief is NXT wrestlers will be called up to the main roster in the Draft.
