Returning to WWE has been an overwhelmingly positive experience for iconic ring announcer Lilian Garcia, who shared her heartfelt feelings about being back in the fold during her interview on “INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet.” Garcia described the incredible reception she’s received and emphasized the deep sense of belonging the company provides her.
“Amazing,” Garcia stated unequivocally about being back. “The fans have been incredible, just the love from that to the people I’m working with, to the new talent that’s there, the girls in the locker room, absolutely incredible.” She mentioned the connections she’s reforged and the support from her colleagues: “They all reached out to me, or they’re like, ‘We’re gonna miss you on a weekly basis.’ They know I’m not gone-gone, but they’re like, ‘We’re gonna miss you on a weekly basis.’”
Reconnecting with long-time colleagues and seeing familiar faces now in producer roles has reinforced a profound sense of community for Garcia, particularly given her personal circumstances. “Working back with Triple H and seeing all of these people that I worked with for so many years, all the agents now that are the producers that are there. It’s my family,” she shared candidly. “I don’t have my parents anymore, I didn’t have kids, and I’m not in a relationship… So it is my family…”
The fact that WWE actively sought a way to keep her involved, even after her temporary Raw and SmackDown duties concluded, meant the world to her. “…and the fact that they said, ‘Look, we really want to work this out to keep you in some capacity here’, man, that’s music to my ears and to my heart,” Garcia expressed with gratitude. Her return has clearly provided not just a professional role, but a vital sense of connection and belonging.
