It looks like United States President Donald Trump is favoring Linda McMahon for a promotion within his cabinet. CNBC reports Trump is looking for a new Commerce Secretary, and McMahon is being favored for the bump. While McMahon might be favored, it’s being reported he’s also considering Ray Washburne, president, and CEO of Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
McMahon is currently the head of the Small Business Administration. She has reportedly told some of Trump’s closest advisors that if she is offered the job, she plans on accepting it. However, the report also suggests the decision has not been made and it’s possible President Trump could change his mind at the last minute.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked about McMahon reportedly being favored for the bump. She didn’t deny the report, but didn’t confirm anything either, saying only “No personnel announcements at this time.” We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
